reviewed on: 12/09/2020 by AnonymousWe chose Veranda Club at the time because we liked the way that the facility looked in the pictures that we saw. The room sizes here are decent. I wan to emphasize that the staff could do better with their customer service, when families are putting their loved ones into facilities they need top notch staff members. They present the facility pool to clients as a big pitch, but it is not used much and they do not clean it. It is something that residents are charged extra for which they should not be. Their maintenance does also take a while to come fix issues with apartments, I think for the price paid they need around the clock staff for issues that arise.

The facility itself is beautiful, and my loved one is in their newest building which is always kept looking immaculate! I also appreciate that the community is laid out in such a fashion that it isn't an overly long walk to get to and from anywhere. My loved one is in their assisted living section, and she and a group of people often walk to the independent living side for social gatherings and activities! The staff here is absolutely wonderful, and the director in particular does a fantastic job! They make it very clear that nothing you ask of them is an imposition, they're always happy to help! The day my loved one moved in they were very busy, so the director herself showed up with a power drill to help us hang some pictures! The community has all sorts of activities and events, and I would particularly recommend it to any families looking for a community with an active Jewish population. There is a large Jewish community here, and they have a Rabbi in every Friday as well as observing all of the high holidays! We've had a few minor issues with communication, and I've noticed that sometimes the kitchen seems a bit understaffed and slow during the lunch hours. But overall it is a very nice community, and I would definitely recommend it as being worth a look!

reviewed on: 09/26/2015 by AnonymousIt was a little slow getting started, because they were waiting for approvals first in order to open up their doors, but once everything got rolling I thought everything went fine with the Veranda Club.

reviewed on: 12/17/2013 by SonIt worked out very well with Veranda. She is very happy, the apartment is very nice, they are very personable. Everybody is involved, all the staff, and the food is good. Mom is eating very, very well, which is a good change!
