So Thankful!
reviewed on: 09/23/2016 by LauraMy grandmother has been living at Forest Ridge for a few months now, and we are seeing great changes in her way of life! She was struggling with depression after Grandpa passed away, and moving away from her home in Florida was a bit overwhelming to her! Forest Ridge has been a GREAT fit for her though! She has settled in well, and tells us all about her great neighbors that she goes to activites with, or that she invites over for dinner. Purchasing the meal plan that is available was a great benefit, because each time she goes down for a meal she tells us that she met new people! She may not need to continue that long-term, but it's nice that she has the option! Also, its great that if she purchases a meal but ends up not going down for it, she can go later and pick it up in a to go container and has it for another time! She has enjoyed learning to use the transportation options available at Forest Ridge, and has a lovely apartment where we can often visit her and even stay in her extra bedroom! It's like her own home, only she has assistance if needed, and built-in friends/neighbors!
Good facility--a few lessons learned
reviewed on: 08/18/2015 by AnonymousWe had trouble getting the phone connected. AT&T was delayed by several days-but it turned out that Forrest Ridge was the cause of the non-connection. Would recommend that the phone wiring be checked ahead of time if moving a senior into this facility. There seems to be a disconnect in providing 'introductory assistance' to new residences. We were hoping that our Mom would have been guided by either a staff member or a current resident to help her find out the activities and amenities offered here. Maybe offering a DVD showing the facilities and locations within it would be helpful. The room is fine, clean and all appliances were working well. Would recommend having a microwave option for residents. The grounds are well kept and secure. Some of the residents apartments are quite a walk from the dining room and lobby. For people that have trouble or need assistance walking, would recommend the use of cane and walkers.

I Had A Good Tour Of This Community
reviewed on: 09/21/2016 by AnonymousI toured this community for my mother and her needs. It was a good tour, it went well. The community looks nice and clean. From what I saw everything appeared to be well maintained. It was a good tour, this is a nice community. It just wasn't the one for my mother and her needs.
3 stars
reviewed on: 05/18/2015 by AnonymousI did have one concern. We're finding out that my mother needs meals and they said we have to sign up ahead of time. We realized it wasn't good for us. I wasn't too happy about that. We are going address that to them this week. Other than that, The facility is very clean. The residents are friendly and welcoming. My overall rating of this property is 3 stars. I hope they are able to resolve this concern.
