reviewed on: 10/02/2018 by CathyMy 94 year old father-in-law, Joe, lived in assisted living at Ridgestone Terrace (Elkhorn) for 2 years. I visited every assisted living facility within a 50 mile radius and chose Ridgestone. We were every impressed with the staff, facilities, food, activities and management. There was very little staff turnover and they were very caring and competent. The staff were exceptional and it was obvious that they really cared for Joe. I visited Joe often and became friends with the staff, they would keep me updated about any issues. Joe's room was spacious, comfortable and clean. He had a living room, kitchenette and bathroom. Joe was happy to be able to set the temperature for his room at 78 degrees. My husband and I occasionally ate at Ridgestone and we really liked the food but Joe was at the point where he was not fond of anything but deserts. There were lots of activity options and Dawn, the activity coordinator, was so devoted to the residents, she always had outings and in-house activities. The management was exceptional, Marsha, worked with us to ensure Joe's mental and physical well being were addressed. Any concerns, questions or changes were immediately attended to. Joe loved his place at Ridgestone. Thank you for taking such good care of Joe!!!

reviewed on: 12/21/2014 by AnonymousThey are really knowledgeable on the needs of those with dementia, and are very kind, patient and attentive. We have a family member who is now in memory care, and we are very happy with the care she is receiving. Also, the facility is beautiful.
It's going okay.
reviewed on: 11/24/2015 by AnonymousIt's going okay. There have been a few issues with medication management. I think think it's clean and friendly, they are attentive. The other residents are very quiet. They don't have a ton of activities, and most of them are in the morning, but I think the activities are okay.
