Mom has only been at The Ashley for a couple weeks but we love it so far!

Selecting assissted living

My mother chose Ashley Inn after a weekend of respite care. She will be there 3 years in April. We are both happy with her stay here. Everything is kept nice and clean, but it is the people who care for her that makes it special. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and they really care for the residents. It made things easy for me that she wanted to be here, even though it was a big change for her. Amy was a great help in getting mom VA benefits that we did not know about. Also, Hampton Inn paid the application fee for VA benefits. All in all, I think we chose well and hope everything continues god for mom.

Loving Care at The Hampton

I chose The Hampton for my mom's vascular dementia care after viewing numerous facilities in Vancouver. The difference in the way staff interacts with "residents" is immediately apparent. My mom is treated like family, with love, and respect for the difficulties she endures with increasing dementia challenges. I also appreciated the pricing policies wherein everything is included in the monthly fee...no extra charge for bedding, furniture, towels, washing clothes, meals, snacks or distributing medicine. No surprises on the billing is a relief for family. The activities and entertainment is superb so Mom is never bored and I find myself choosing to visit her during specific times so I can enjoy the musicians as well. Mom, at 88-years-old, has been here for eight months and is so well adjusted now that recently she said "They do it all for me here. Wash my clothes. Cook my meals. Take of my medicine and entertain me as well. You should move here with me."

Appreciate for excellent care.

Rather than a specific experience, I am writing to rave about the staff at this facility. I visit a number of times a week and I find interaction between caretaker, nurse and patient to be consistently kind, patient, gentle and caring. When I walk out the door, I know my husband will be cared for and treated well. I am grateful. In particular, I would like to rave about Tammy, Keeley, Sherry, Linda and Mona not only for doing their job but going far beyond what they "have" to do. When Tammy is at work, the entire atmosphere of the floor is happier. I know that both Tammy and Keeley care for each and every resident as if they were their own family. The Director of Nursing, Amber, is always available to listen and offer advice. She is an outstanding example of how to treat others the way you would like to be treated. I'm grateful!
