Care and Distance for dad
reviewed on: 05/31/2017 by AnonymousWe toured this community for my father's care. We liked that the staff was kind and able to answer the questions we had on the care that is offered. The menu was appealing and the community was very positive. They offer a nice list of activities for the residents. We wanted a community closer to home. We would recommend that families tour this nice community for the care of a loved one's needs.

She loved what she saw, and we were very impressed with the community. We liked that she could be independent and still have a little bit of help when needed. The administration lady was great. I highly recommend this community to anyone!

reviewed on: 09/21/2013 by Daughter of a resident.The Academy has fulfilled all of our expectations and more. The facility is clean, the staff is fantastic, helpful and very caring. We have peace of mind knowing that our mom is in a wonderful place that she really enjoys. The interaction between residents and staff is impressive to watch. The residents are all treated equally with respect, kindness and lots of patience by the staff, who are always available to speak with family, and answer any of our concerns. From maintenance to management, all seem to really enjoy their jobs. Our mom's evaluation meeting with Lauralee Gumm was very thorough, informative and also helpful to us. She took as much time as we needed to address all of our questions and still patiently and kindly interact with mom.

reviewed on: 12/27/2017 by AnonymousI went on a tour here and the staff was nice and helpful. They answered all of my questions. It was nice and clean. They have more care options here. But not a lot of amenities for the price. I would recommend families tour this community before making a choice.

The community is clean and the grounds are nice. There is a park next to it for the residents to enjoy. The community does have only one elevator. I would recommend this community.
