reviewed on: 03/14/2017 by AnonymousThe Academy was by far the best place that we have ever seen. We toured over 6 places and had my loved one is 2 different communities, so we have experience. She loved what she saw, and we were very impressed with the community. We liked that she could be independent and still have a little bit of help when needed. The administration lady was great. I highly recommend this community to anyone!
A place for Dad

reviewed on: 12/27/2017 by AnonymousI went on a tour here and the staff was nice and helpful. They answered all of my questions. It was nice and clean. They have more care options here. But not a lot of amenities for the price. I would recommend families tour this community before making a choice.
Nice facility but not for us
reviewed on: 12/19/2017 by AnonymousI toured this facility and liked it. I thought it was really pretty. However, I didn’t care for the dining room. It was on the lowest level and had an odor to it that I didn’t care for. The kitchen seemed clean, so I don’t know if it was musty because of the carpeting or what. But the rooms were nice, big, bright, and they had big, beautiful windows. It was a nice facility just not a good fit for my Mom.

We have peace of mind knowing that our mom is in a wonderful place that she really enjoys. The interaction between residents and staff is impressive to watch. The residents are all treated equally with respect, kindness and lots of patience by the staff, who are always available to speak with family, and answer any of our concerns. From maintenance to management, all seem to really enjoy their jobs. Our mom's evaluation meeting with Lauralee Gumm was very thorough, informative and also helpful to us. She took as much time as we needed to address all of our questions and still patiently and kindly interact with mom.
