Community Reviews
Doing w
reviewed on: 12/10/2019 by MaryI am a widow and I have lived here for two months. This is a safe place to live. People are nice. I looked at places in other communities and decided Imperial Plaza suited me and my needs the best. It’s a good place to be.
Check out independent living
reviewed on: 04/07/2021 by anonymousOut of all the places I looked at, I couldn't beat the value for the price here. It has become my home. I was fortunate enough to get a premium room, so I have plenty of space. We've had a change in management recently. They've hired new maintenance staff, and they're being very proactive in fixing things that have been hanging for a long time. The food has improved already - both the quality of what they're giving and the menu choices as well. I'm not seeing as much overcooked food. The staff is very helpful. If you have a question, they put you in touch with the person that can help you. There's a coordinator assigned to each building, and the one assigned to my building does a very good job. The other residents are very friendly. It's been difficult to see other residents during Covid, but a small group of us still get together in the afternoon to chat.
Lack of Communication
reviewed on: 08/27/2020 by AnonymousI have found that it is hard to get a call back. They can take days to call you back, this includes staff and supervisors. My mom is isolated on a floor and they aren't calling me back. We are paying a community fee, and I have been trying to have the community call me back about activities. My mom has some dementia, and she doesn't understand why we haven't been up to see her. I'm not able to see her through a window, but she is on the fourth floor. The community is trying to set up virtual visits, but my mom is hard of hearing and seeing. We would like to have her engaged more.
Tons of Activities!
reviewed on: 11/14/2013 by DaughterMy mom used to live here and I was pleased with it. At that time she was in the independent living and it was pretty good. They had a lot going on. Even though she didn't take advantage of it they had a free bus system for the residents and they went out to lunch and on vacations, played bingo. They had everything! My mom had just moved there so she was a little bit upset about it and didn't really participate in much. She did say the food was good though.
I LOVE living here!
reviewed on: 10/30/2018 by Joyce H.I live at Imperial Plaza and love it here! This gated community is centally located to many restaurants and stores. It also has on location 2 restaurants a bar, a bank, and grocery. A drug store is also coming soon. We also have buses if you can't drive that can take you to stores and doctors appointments. There are lots of activities and clubs and a large library. Everything around gets better everyday. The staff is always very friendly. This is a beautiful setting that makes you feel at home. I also really like the improved maintenance staff, they have become much more responsive and prompt.
