A Beautiful Place
reviewed on: 04/01/2014 by Loved OneThe staff are all very friendly, but there's been a lot of turnover. It's a brand new facility that opened in 2013, so it seemed like they were working out the bugs for a while. It was a little rough at first, but hopefully the new directors will stay! Consistency of staffing is important for the elderly, so hopefully that will happen soon! Other than that, it's a beautiful place! The rooms are big enough to fit furniture! The dining room is lovely and the food is good! Also, they have all sorts of activities and I've seen them actually happen!
Highly recommend
reviewed on: 09/01/2021 by C. DaviesWe chose Spring Arbor because I was familiar with the facility. I had done volunteer work here and I was very impressed. It is a clean, smaller facility and I feel very comfortable with my mother being taken care of here. The room sizes are good for what she needs. The overall appearance, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff all looks great. I would absolutely recommend.
my review of Spring Arbor of Fredericksburg
reviewed on: 07/07/2021 by TrudyThe community is only one floor and the community is smaller. The communication is good and they keep us well informed and up to date. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.
Best Memory Care in Fredericksburg Area
reviewed on: 07/23/2021 by DeniseI would tell others that it is the best community. I've looked at all the communities in the area, it is the best value and best care in the area. The staff and training make a good place. The atmosphere makes it feel like home for the residents and families. They get to know all about the residents and what they need. They are very understanding of each resident and family and how it relates. This allows each resident to feel love and to be comfortable within the community. I have had the pleasure to visit at different times of the day and see the entire staff in action. Regardless of the resident's level of ability the staff encourages the residents to participate in the activities offered. The food is standard, American fare. It is tailored to what the residents will eat. They do know what the residents prefer to eat. This allows the community to try to individualize the meals to each resident taste. They are opening two more memory care cottages. I'm excited to have the opportunity for my loved one move to a new cottage.
Some frustrations, but overall a good place.
reviewed on: 10/25/2021 by anonymousI advise families of patients with dementia to carefully keep track of dentures and hearing aids and things like that. Because Spring Arbor is not doing a good job of that for us. And that could be our expectation vs their expectation. But it's still very frustrating. It's a new facility, and they need to do more training and education. The director and management are good. But some of the daily staff don't talk to the patients properly in our experience. I understand that dementia patients can be difficult, but they need to continue to do more training. Overall the facility overall is very clean and nice.
