my review of Monarch at Richardson
reviewed on: 06/09/2021 by maryBeautifully renovated in 2021. The staff is wonderful. They have great activities for mom and she is very happy
Good Place to Consider
reviewed on: 10/29/2021 by KevinIt has been a really positive experience. They've been really understanding with everything and helped as best they could. It has been just what Dad needed at the time. It's an older but homey facility, and they keep it really clean. He looked at another place that was brand new, and he felt like he couldn't even walk on the floors because it was so new. He feels much more at home here. He tells me that the food is good, and the apple pie that I tied was really good.
They have made the experience for my mom from independent living to assisted living as good as they could have
reviewed on: 11/19/2021 by anonymousThe staff members are so friendly and they are so caring to the residents. Our mother really enjoys the meals and dining service and mingling with the other residents. We have no complaints so far, and one of the best things about the Monarch is that they have a beautiful porch our loved one can sit out. Also the physical therapist takes the residents to the park close by to get them out and about.
Beware of memory care
reviewed on: 11/06/2020 by AnonymousWe have had two family members join this community, one was on the assisted living and the other was in the memory care. The assisted living is great, the memory care is not. The staff is very nice, cooperative and will try to work with you the best they can. I would shy away from memory care if your loved one has advanced dementia. If your loved one doesn't fit the mold of mild dementia they do not work with you. The assisted living is fine, they were very loving and passionate towards our loved one. We felt that they were getting a high level of care in assisted living. they have been very diligent following COVID restrictions. Non of the residents have had COVID, they have done a very good job with cleaning and keeping the residents safe.
Highly recommend it
reviewed on: 06/30/2021 by CharlesWe have been very impressed with everything so far. The staff are very caring and seem to really know our loved one. They are very attentive to her. At first we thought this was a skilled nursing community because they have nurses there 24/7, but it is not. The care is great, but if you are looking for a skilled nursing community, this is not the place. The cleanliness of the community is excellent. They are really good about keeping our loved one's room clean and always having the bed made, which is very encouraging. Our loved one has gained some weight since being there, so we have to assume the meals are very good. And they keep the residents very busy with a ton of activities. We just love the Monarch.
