Good memory care
reviewed on: 06/05/2014 by Loved oneMy loved one is in the memory care section at Horizon Bay, and so far our experience has been a good one. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, whenever I visit they seem to really give a lot of attention and care to their memory care residents. I'd like to see them have a few more options when it comes to the visiting physicians they work with, just to give families more options and choices.

reviewed on: 12/24/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerBeautiful facility that is scheduled for a full remodel, not sure why. The rooms are nice and large. The facility is spotless. An overall nice environment. It did have this "corporate" feel to it. I like the idea that they have a Geriatric MD on staff.

reviewed on: 12/26/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerI toured with director. Beautiful, loved the studio apartment. Big enough for bed, dresser, chair & TV. Kitchen had sink, microwave & small frig. Private bathroom with sit-in shower. Individual thermostat. Good-sized window over-looking next-door patio. Nice dining room. A lot of women residents who looked friendly & happy. Major concerns are staircase, location Balcony with open staircase. Unclear about whether staff is watching floor at night, concerned about her wandering at night. Location is farther away from me.
