Choose After Studying Many Communities and Reviews
reviewed on: 03/01/2021 by AnonymousYou should look at other places as well as this one. You should choose a community after looking at several and making the best decision for the family. During my loved one's transition I wasn't able to contact my loved one. I wish the staff wold have helped more.
My Visit To The Community
reviewed on: 05/22/2017 by AnonymousThis community seemed clean. The marketing director that took us on tour was nice and knowledgable. They were remodeling the community, however it did feel like an office building.
Peace of Mind
reviewed on: 06/04/2020 by KakicksWhen we were searching for a place for our Mom we had many factors in mind of the place we wanted for her. It was hard enough having to place her but harder to peruse finding one on our own. The Heritage was one of the properties that our contact gave us and we went to tour it. It was important for us to have an outdoor place for Mom and adequate space for her to roam. We were very pleased with the facility and the price and also knowing she would be well taken care of. She has been loved, well taken care of and the staff is always so friendly when we walk in. We have constant access to her and The Heritage has been phenomenal throughout this whole Covid crisis. We have had video chats and even a drive thru Mothers Day parade, all while keeping the well being of their residents in mind. We feel blessed to have found this ‘home’ for our Mom.
Good Place... I'd recommend it easily
reviewed on: 11/15/2018 by MaxRIt took most of my late mother's last months to educate ourselves on Heritage's limitations after getting so much sunshine blown up our skirts. Once Mom had died, we left wondering why we didn't learn all those important facts about Care, Legal Limits, etc, long before those last 8 or 10 weeks of her life. Staff & Leadership seemed content to spew acronyms and vague legal precedents to us as reasons for their demands or not-doings. These are still problematic, months later, only because their solution to OUR problems seem like easy but complete conversation. Other than that nagging issue, the director of their Memory Care unit remains an outstanding worker in our opinion, who seemed to continuously give so much of her energies and creativity into the care for everyone in her charge. Her staff probably could not live up to that high standard, by the way, but they were more-than-adequate.
Wonderful Memory Care!
reviewed on: 06/12/2020 by SusanMy mother lived at the Heritage at Hunters Chase for over 4 years until she passed away in May 2020. Most all of the staff especially in the Memory Care floor (Traditions) TRULY care. They took amazing care of my mother on the Memory Care floor, and everyone who visited her noticed and commented on it to me. In memory care, everyone gets their own room. The director, Carolyn is dedicated and got back to me promptly when I emailed or needed to talk to her. Hunter, director of resident care gives out his personal cell number to everyone and encourages calls anytime. Christian, the memory care director knows the details of what's happening with all the memory care residents and truly cares. There are activities happening on memory care floor all the time like "bowling" and balloon games. Musical acts also come in. Their memory care is also pretty reasonably priced. The memory care staff actually enjoys the residents and has fun with them. After her stroke, my mother was combative. We did put her on meds for that, but what really helped is the Memory Care staff's approach to residents - by frequent gentle touch and showing her much love, she calmed down, stopped needing her calming meds, and responded back with love. During Covid lockdown when we couldn't visit, they set up video chat appointments for us to visit with loved ones. My mother was so confused (with Alzheimer's and several strokes) she did not understand the concept of a video chat. So the staff several times used their own personal cell phones to FaceTime for us and she understood and participated in that. I did not ask for this, they did it on their own. I wanted to reimburse them for data charges but they refused every time. They also took amazing care of her as she declined and finally passed away. Christian thanked ME for letting THEM take care of her. I will really miss the smiling faces and true dedication of Adeley, Yesenia, Fabi, Nancy, Christian, Nikki, and Minnie. I'm sorry - I know I'm forgetting some people. I am so grateful to you guys for your care of Ann H. Thank you.
