McKendree Village offers trips on our 3 vans to shopping, grocery, museums, concerts, restaurants and individual doctor appointments within a 20 mile radius. Our full time Fitness Coordinator offers exercise classes both on land and in our therapeutic salt water swimming pool. The full time Chaplain leads Church School and Worship Services on Sundays and a weekday service and Bible Study throughout the week. The full time Activity Coordinator plans both trips and on campus activities. -

Back on my feet!
reviewed on: 01/11/2015 by Loretta AAfter I had surgery I needed physical therapy. Even though I wanted to go home I was so thankful for the care I received in McKendree's rehab. The therapists really cared about what I needed and got me back on my feet again. I fell in love with the nurse practitioner and how helpful he was to my family when they worried about me. I would recommend McKendree's Rehab.
My Grandmother Has Improved So Much Being Here
reviewed on: 05/20/2016 by AnonymousMy grandmother was only going to use this community for a respite stay, but my father and I have seen her improve so much she will now be moving in permanently. She is doing very well here. The community is always very clean and well maintained. The staff is great, they are caring for her very well. They are very attentive and accommodating. She is slowing participating in activities in her own way. The food seems to be pretty good. We are happy knowing she is improving and she is being cared for very well.
what is wrong with this......
reviewed on: 03/13/2019 by Anonymousin the past few months, I have seen some things which need some attention. the oak dining room for instance does not have enough servers for the # of persons to be served without having office staff brought in to wait on tables, some independent persons are made to move to the manor for persons that require special care however one person in fact is getting on fine with border line dementia and is being moved from a apartment to the manor saying they need special care although another person is allowed to remain in the independent apartment because they have a care giver, a person to stay with them and assist if needed while the other person is made to give up most of their possessions they have lived and loved with because they do not have a care giver..is this right without giving this person information on a care giver..????????.

reviewed on: 01/11/2015 by LorettaI toured this facility and found a warm welcome and active environment. The apartments were lovely and bigger than I expected. More than one resident spoke to me and said they love living at McKendree. I was pleasantly surprised at all they have to offer in both services and activity. They have a pharmacy, a big beauty salon, puzzle room, art studio, sewing room, game room, chapel, swimming pool and coffee shop. I really like what I saw.
