reviewed on: 08/13/2020 by Maggie of MBBrightwater is a safe and happy place to live! I would recommend living at Brightwater, it is a wonderful place that is safe. Everyone is so friendly. The staff works hard to please the residents and will do anything possible to take care of us. The Brightwater drivers will take me wherever I need to go. We are living longer than expected because of this lifestyle, so you need to check your long-term financial planning. I do feel it is a good value and I am getting my money’s worth for all, of the services provided.

I chose Myrtle Beach because my son is going to retire in the area. My villa includes a patio that gives me an outdoor space of my own that allows me to garden with my potted flowers and sit outside. Walking the property with the beautiful gardens & flowers is part of my daily routine and the outdoor pool gives me another form of enjoyable exercise. I can sleep in and relax after working all my life for the school system. I like BINGO, arts & crafts and the Travel the World Snack Crate, Tracy does an amazing job. I liked being pampered with meal delivery during the COVID restrictions and am glad that I can have dinner with my friends in the dining room again. Transportation will take us wherever we need to go, so I don’t need a car.

reviewed on: 08/28/2020 by Chris of MBLove living here! When I moved to Brightwater, I was afraid because I didn’t know anyone. Everyone was so Welcoming to me and making new friends was so nice! I love eating in the dining room with my friends every evening. We have a porch social most days. I love being around people and all of the activities. The staff is very friendly and helps me with anything I need so I feel very safe.

Someone is always helping us and its wonderful. I have assistance from Love Long Well Care. I participate in a lot of activities. Why would you not? I'm excited about trips, museums, events throughout the community. I faithfully attend wellness classes 3x per week. Since we moved here we have had wonderful maintenance people who will help you. My husband was in extended care and staff would go above and beyond to care for him.

reviewed on: 03/13/2021 by Susan BNana transferred from the hospital to Rehab into assisted living just as COVID-19 closed everything down. It is so helpful getting calls from her caregivers keeping us posted on how she is doing and sharing what personal items she needs. Nana says the food is delicious and enjoys interacting with all her caregivers and therapists. Now that the weather is warming up she enjoys sitting in the beautiful screened in porch and taking walks throughout the property with the help of caregivers. Nana is sleeping better, eating healthier and taking her medications as prescribed. She has her hair “done” weekly now that the salon has reopened. The staff has worked tirelessly setting up window and video visits. They decorated the outside of her window, and brought the cake we delivered to her room as we celebrated her 91st birthday through the window! As hurricane season nears, we are happy to know Nana has the choice to stay at Brightwater during category 1, 2,3 and 4 hurricanes.
