My experience...
reviewed on: 04/18/2017 by AnonymousI really did like Brookdale Anderson. The people were very sweet. I felt it was too big for my Aunt's who both grew up in a small town.
Rehabilitation at Anderson Place
reviewed on: 09/21/2013 by Joanne YuzawaMy mother stayed at the Health Center for almost three months after heart by-pass surgery and then moved over to the Summer House for two months until we could move her closer to family. The nursing care was OK, but I tend to think they over medicate. The staff was caring, but she was at the end of the hall and I think did not get that much attention, especially early on when she needed a lot of help. There did not seem to be much staff around on Sundays. The physical and occupational therapy staff were great! They worked patiently with her, really paying attention to her needs. I can't say enough good things about them. When she moved to the Summer House, they continued working with her to give her the skills to live independently again. They kept in touch with me and were always available to discuss her needs. We are very grateful for all they did. When we chose to have my mom stay at the Summer House, the staff was very helpful in arranging that. Since it was a temporary arrangement and we did not want to move her furniture, they furnished the rooms for us. They did a beautiful and thoughtful job. They made the transition very easy for my mother and for my brothers and myself who all live far away. Some of the staff from the Health Center would come to visit her regularly after their shifts which was really nice, they really cared about her and I know that it meant a lot to my mother. The only negative was that my mother came down with a bad cough when she moved in to the Summer House. We thought it was something in the rug or cleaning products. Then my son noticed that the AC filter in the ceiling was filthy and clogged, once that was changed, she improved. But she needed a nebulizer for a few weeks and more medication which would have been unnecessary if they had been on top of maintenance.
Toured, nice looking but expensive
reviewed on: 03/29/2016 by AnonymousI toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, it was also one of the more expensive places we saw. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.
We would recommend this community to others
reviewed on: 02/11/2021 by anonymousDuring the six weeks our loved one was there, we had some circumstances that they really bent over backwards for us. Due to our loved ones health he was not able to be in assisted living so they made space for him in their skilled nursing. They were really good to us and very accommodating.
