Mondays and Tuesdays, our bus will deliver and pick up residents from their medical appointments within a 10 mile radius. The rest of the week, we have outings with residents to Fred Meyer, Safeway, restaurants, events like Portland Nursery and Artichoke Music, theater, etc. -

Staff is Wonderful
reviewed on: 07/31/2013 by DonnaIt's great. My mom have been there for a week and it was hard for her at first but it's good. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. So far, the care is very good. It's kind of difficult to rate the value just yet. We chose it because they had a patio unti that was available and a lot of places don't have patios and my mom really enjoys it with all her potted plants and things. Also, looking at the overall condition of the place - they've gotten an award 2 years back to back!

The main thing that stuck out to me was the longevity of employment of the staff members here. If the staff members are happy, the residents will be happy. The memory care unit also really impressed me, the director spoke of the residents like they were her family. Overall it is a very cozy, small, family oriented facility.

We chose this community because at the time he was active and the location was close to his home. I would recommend this community to other families.

reviewed on: 01/26/2018 by Mora WklsonSummerplace, like ALL Assisted Livings have turn over, staff that may not mesh with out loved ones, Administrative staff that are just too busy to take our phone calls, and foods we may not like. They do have 1 thing in common. The desire and want to care for our loved ones. My mother lived at Summerplace for 5 years. We saw it all. The good, the bad, the terrible.as a retired nurse myself, I can say that the Health office has the best of intentions and 95% of the staff REALLY cared about my mom. The other 5 percent, were the bad apples that just wanted a paycheck. Summerplace is a beautiful community. The new, improved, and long term staff will be an amazing team going forward in 2018. I wish that I would see it unfold. Summerplace is trying very hard to have an amazing reputation again, all in do time. The reviews below do not demonstrate the truth of Summerplace. I would highly recommend Summerplace for anyone.
