reviewed on: 09/09/2021 by anonymousWe had to do a virtual tour with Powell Valley which was difficult because I was not going to place my mom somewhere without stepping into the facility. There was nothing negative about it at all, it just was not going to be the right fit for us.

reviewed on: 04/22/2015 by AnonymousI would recommend the Powell Valley Assisted Living & Memory Care. Everything has been going well. I haven't had any issues with this community. This is a great assisted living facility that offers a clean and friendly environment. The care givers do a good job at taking care of all of the residents. The value is great because you get a wonderful community for a reasonable price. I highly recommend it here.
Assisted Living and Memory Care
reviewed on: 11/05/2013 by DaughterI picked Powell Valley mainly because it has the assisted living and memory care and they accept Medicaid. Those are two big pluses. They have been okay. They haven't been spectacular on the care. My mom is 100% dementia so they first went in to the assisted living and we just moved her to memory care, splitting my parents up. It was very discouraging for us to do that and we're still in the process of making sure that was the right move. In the assisted living there is not a lot of one on one care which I guess that was my fault for not looking into that before hand. Besides that it's been okay. I feel the assisted living part is really clean. I'm not really happy with the cleanliness of the memory care part yet. It's a little bit older and not as updated as the assisted living. I really do like the activities in the memory care. They're trying to get them to be involved.

Overall, it has been a very good experience. Everyone there seems very nice and caring. They offer activities. I have already recommended it to people I know. The Powell Assisted Living & Memory Care is a really nice community with a nice atmosphere. It has been good.
