St. Hilda's Assisted Living
reviewed on: 03/09/2016 by Ruth MorrittMy mother became a permanent resident in March 2016 and prior to that was in the 'respite' short stay program for 3 months. The level of care that my mother receives is fantastic. The nurses are very caring and check in on her to make sure she is alright. The doctors at St. Hilda's are always available in case of illness. The Director of Marketing - Sherri Deeton and Social Worker Rhonda and Joseph are simply wonderful people. The meals at St. Hilda's are very delicious and affordable for family and friends who come for a meal while visiting a resident. Overall, St. Hilda's is a wonderful place for Seniors and I would recommend it highly!!!
Wonderful place for Senior living.
reviewed on: 02/04/2016 by Ruth MorrittMy mother was in the Short Stay program at St. Hilda;s and has received excellent care. The meals are fantastic and everyone is so friendly. She has decided to become a permanent resident at St. Hilda's where I know she will be very happy and will receive the best of care as she needs it. I would recommend St. Hilda's to anyone that is looking for a Senior residence. Highly recommended.
Okay.
reviewed on: 11/09/2018 by AnonymousI find it difficult to believe that the glowing reviews are genuine and not written by St. Hilda's shills. One review refers to St. Hilda's "doctors" when, in fact, there is only one doctor who visits for a couple of hours a couple of times a week As for the food, anyone who describes it as "fantastic" either has very low standards or.defective tastebuds. It is typical institutional food, bland and heavy on the fat and starch, light on quality protein. My mother has been a resident for about 5 years, and during the first year or so was repeatedly moved out of her room due to a longstanding bedbug problem, (thankfully now resolved). I do agree that the medical staff, nurses and PSWs are largely kind and caring. There has been a significant turnover of staff since June 2018 when the City of Toronto took over management of St. Hilda's, resulting in some inconsistent care and standards. **This is an honest review but I am NOT sharing e-mail or name, as I do not want St. Hilda's contacted for fear that my negative comments will result in backlash for my mom. Whether you print this or not is irrelevant to me; I think it's important for A Place for Mom to receive at least one authentic review, so that you can provide true service to family members looking for care.
