Peace of Mind
reviewed on: 10/26/2017 by AnonymousWhen I first contacted A Place for Mom, I did not know whether I could be helped. Deborah quickly eased by mind and was a wonderful listener. She immediately took action and made contact with a facility in our City. Once she had received the information, Deborah called me back to explain what the facility could do for our family member, and that someone from the facility would be contacting us. True to her word, we received contact from the facility and a visit was quickly arranged. The staff at the Walford were very friendly and understanding. Shelley and Maggie explained the services to us and took their time to show us the rooms available. We were unable to proceed immediately due to health issues of our family member, but once we were able to proceed months later, these two wonderful people went out of their way to make the transition seamless.
Happy with the choice
reviewed on: 11/22/2018 by E GThis facility is made wonderful by its staff. Always a friendly face and smile. Rooms are large and have great natural light. Ongoing painting and replacing keep up normal maintenance. Meals are healthy and filling. The residents wouldn’t be classified as active seniors. Most well attended activity is regular musicians brought in. Cost is reasonable for the comparison. An excellent choice for our dad’s needs.
Very unfriendly manager
reviewed on: 01/21/2021 by William DellMy mother has lived there for 6 years. The management changed and they only seem to care about control , not the residents best interests. They do not follow government directives or care about what the RHRA directs them to do. The common areas are full of renovation materials and the library/sunroom is also closed.
