Thank you all for your efforts and hours during these past several months.......they are truly appreciated!
reviewed on: 11/09/2020 by WayneSo I want to start off by saying that I am surprised by a couple of the comments I have read here......My Mom is a resident here, and has been for over 2 years....I have to say that she does not regret her decision to move from her house to this home. These past 6 or 7 months have been difficult for everyone...and I am sure that emotions are running high....but I have to say that my experience with everyone of the staff has been pleasant, especially under these circumstances. I have tried to thank each of them as I come to pay a short visit, or drop off supplies for my Mom....I know that they have been working tirelessly to keep our families safe during this COVID-19 time. It cannot be easy for them as they have to juggle so many more responsibilities and tasks now that there are protocols to follow. They are doing the work that many of us would not, and have chose not to do....care for the elderly.....and their job can be made even more difficult when they have to monitor the behaviour of visitors....... Keep in mind that Leisure Living came through the early wave of COVID without a single diagnosed case....and better yet...No Covid related death.......that was a result of the protocols that were put in place and the continued support of all the staff and management.....it was not a fluke. The health care workers are working long hours away from their families, to take care of hours........If by chance they happen to have a moment that doesn't rise to our expectations....I am prepared to give them a pass....... Do I think there needs to be some new carpet, and a splash of paint....Yes I do....could they use some new taps and faucets......probably........but as far as the staff are concerned....I can tell you that, I see the sparkle in their eyes when I come and visit......and I also know that they have been working extremely hard to keep things going well..........
Home Again
reviewed on: 11/09/2020 by Mary Lou BousfieldMy parents have thrived under the caring atmosphere that they describe and that I have witnessed at Leisure Living. Well advanced in years, their move 5 years ago to the place they easily call “home” was the beginning of a happy situation that continues. They love the staff and are so grateful for everything they do for them. Especially during the additional stresses of this lengthy pandemic season, the staff have performed additional duties and remain caring, kind and professional. My parents appreciate both the communication from administration and opportunity to have input on the services and programs by attending the resident meetings. I have great confidence in the staff and can rest easy knowing that my parents have that confidence in the people who have become a second family to them.
Very Good
reviewed on: 09/10/2021 by AnonymousI've heard the food is very good. Some of the activities include music, puzzles, Wii bowling, and more for the residents to choose from. The staff are good to work with if we have questions or concerns over our loved one.
Home Again
reviewed on: 11/14/2020 by Mary Lou Bousfield ColeMy parents, both well advanced in years, moved to Leisure Living over 5 years ago. It soon became "home" and the staff have become a second family. When I see the social interaction they enjoy with staff and other residents, I am confident knowing my parents are both content and well cared for daily. When their needs for personal assistance became greater, solutions were sought and met. During these past many Covid-19 virus months, every precaution has been taken, adding great pressure on staff, but greater safety for every resident. In spite of this stress, administration continues to be pro-active, staff members remain professional, dedicated and most of all, kind and caring. My parents enjoy many events, activities and appreciate giving input at regular residents' meetings with administration. I am so thankful when I see the attention and concern that my parents receive from each and every one of their caregivers that all of us are thankful for at Leisure Living Retirement.
Always a pleasant experience ....
