Excellent skilled nursing and memory care!
reviewed on: 10/29/2014 by AnonymousWe're very pleased with The Fountains at Canterbury, they've done an excellent job in all aspects of the care that they've provided! They have a top notch skilled nursing and rehab facility, and they also do an excellent job with their memory care community. The staff here are very compassionate and patient with their residents, and have done an excellent job helping my loved one through the various stages of his care. They also do a fine job with their meal service, the food always looks good and the portions are a nice size. In addition to whatever dishes they are serving for the day they also have a back-up menu with a few staples on it in case your loved one doesn't like what they're serving that day. We really have had a good experience with The Fountains at Canterbury, and would recommend them highly!
Best People Around!
reviewed on: 12/19/2018 by Patricia FreemanMy father was in Assisted Living for a short period of time before being put on Hospice-understandably his increased level of care required him to be moved to their skilled nursing facility-I dreaded this for my Dad-he was now in a hospital bed in his room we had set up for him so nicely and he wouldn't be able to bring those items with him-the nursing staff was just terrific in caring for him and he would have to have another group of nurses that would have to learn about him-the move was scheduled for the following week until my Dad's health steadily declined and the Administrator and Director of Nurses informed me they wouldn't move him!! It required more intensive nursing care from the aides and nurses however I never felt from them that my Dad was a burden and they were quick to fulfill any requests I had-like moving my Dad up in his bed or finding a straw to help with getting him a drink or feeding him ice cream/oatmeal to answering any questions I had and kind words and hugs after my Dad passed away within the week-it truly helped our family knowing he was in a safe comfortable supportive environment until his passing! I can't thank them enough!
Liked The Way It Looked
reviewed on: 08/21/2017 by AnonymousThis community looked very appealing to me. it has a lovely view of a pond out back with a nice walking path. The staff seemed friendly enough. You really need to do your research in touring any of these facilities so you know what you are looking for.
Tour of The Fountains
reviewed on: 11/09/2021 by anonymousI was not impressed with The Fountains. When I walked in for my tour, it felt more like a nursing home rather than independent living.

reviewed on: 08/30/2013 by EvelynIt's a nice facility and they have a lot of activities for the residents there. The only thing that I didn't like was that it seemed more like a nursing home. Other than that, we just went to do a visit so I don't know how the food is or anyting like that.
