Community Reviews
They got her back on her feet. They pushed her to get better.
reviewed on: 04/28/2014 by Family MemberThe rehab program here is really good, they got her back on her feet. They pushed her to get better. The therapy itself was very good, she did not want to stay here though. She did not like the food, she could smell it when they brought that cart, and it made her nauseous. There were issues with the room when we first moved. It was dark and small, and not very welcoming looking. Sometimes she would have to wait a while to get help with the restroom. She wasn't comfortable with a man helping her, they accommodated her, but they were not always nice about it.
Beyond Reproach
reviewed on: 08/18/2019 by WDRI have a hard time understanding the negative reviews. We moved my 90 year old mother into Bethany Crossing, which was the brand new assisted living facility. It is gorgeous and the staff is truly beyond belief. They have tons of staff, everyone is trained and experienced. The care and supervision my mother received was totally beyond reproach. We were concerned she would need memory care and that turned out to be the case. The move to the memory care facility was easy. Everyone with whom we have dealt at Bethany Village has been professional, compassionate and experienced. I can't imagine a finer facility (and we looked everywhere) in the United States. Frankly, if the time comes and we need to do that....it is exactly where I plan on going.
Unprofessional, overworked staff.
reviewed on: 12/17/2019 by AnonymousRehab center staff is overworked. If you're loved one has difficulty feeding themselves, don't expect them to take the time to spoon-feed them. They will wheel them out into the hallway, drop a food tray in front of them, 45 minutes later come back around and collect the trays. I watched day after day as they collected food trays from patients who hadn't taken even 1 bite. The staff in the rehab facility is in a hurry, every minute of every day trying to accomplish their responsibilities. They can be grouchy and short with the patient as well as family members. One of the head nurses in the rehab portion inserts herself into family matters, often gossiping with other family members, and was even caught lying to make us look bad. She gladly advised certain medical procedures be done that should have only come from a Dr. I would NEVER return my mother to this facility. It's filled with gossip and unprofessionalism. I could write a book on the inappropriate behavior of the staff there. And...they misdiagnosed my mother. Do not rely on their inside Dr's and nurses to diagnose, get another opinion.
Concerned

Negligence at Bethany
reviewed on: 02/11/2015 by Leslie W.My brother was in Bethany Lutheran Village for 3 months. During that time he was not seen by a podiatrist even though his regular doctors and even the doctor there insisted that he be seen every month. He had Ted hose on for days at a time....when I saw that they were filthy I would make them change them. One thing I learned is that I should of watched when they took the hose off. When he was finally taken to the hospital and the hose were taken off his feet were all pressure sores with a middle left toe that was full of MRSA. The doctors and the nurses saw this as negligence. My brother never went back there and I reported them to the Ohio Board of Health, they were cited. They told OBH that my brother had not been harmed....I had them reinvestigate Bethany and they established that he was harmed and they had given erroneous information. Brian had gangrene from their negligence, he lost his toe but that did not stop it. They needed to cut his leg off but his heart was to weak so my poor dear brother died a terrible death from Gangrene 9 months after leaving Bethany
