Great care for my mom
reviewed on: 09/13/2016 by AngieMy mom has been here a little over 8 months. I was compelled to write a review since I saw the previous review from 2014 on here. My mom was not here at that time so I cannot speak to the accuracy of that review. Stella is no longer the GM. The current management is great. The care staff are nice and responsive to my moms needs. Overall we have been pleased.
unprofessionalism at its finest
reviewed on: 11/21/2014 by nurseWhile this facility does have some staff members who work hard to provide the best care possible, the majority of the workers here are rude and unprofessional. For starters, the manager Stella Nsong is almost never there to see what goes on. How can you run a facility when you are out of town for weeks at a time? Once the employee checks even bounced, eventually it was fixed but she never once formally apologized or even really acknowledged the havoc that caused for her staff members. Because of the lack of management, there is a lack of supervision and discipline of the workers, which means corners are cut, and proper care is not always given. The facility is rarely properly supplied, there have been times where they ran out of diabetic supplies, gloves, depends and etc. Since the aids, or caregivers as they are called there, do not have to be certified this often means the workers there are not able to properly and safely care for the residents. If they had proper training in place there it wouldn't be a huge deal, but often times New employees are thrown out on the floor after only a day or two of training because of the lack of sufficient staffing. Also, there was a serious bed bug outbreak there. I am not sure if it has been resolved or not, because in most cases, instead of calling a professional to handle an infestation the staff was expected to try to handle it. After seeing what goes on in this place first hand I would not recommend it for anyone to seek employment at and I would never put a loved one in this facility.
