Awesome Place for an Elderly Person
reviewed on: 05/27/2021 by Gary HThe staff did an awesome job with the Covid protections, which is one of the reasons I chose them. I believe they've only had 3 cases total from the very beginning of Covid, because they shut everything down above and beyond the CDC guidelines. The staff are professional and nice. It's beautiful and clean. There's a nice library. The grounds are nice, and it's a good location - you name it, it's there nearby. Yet it's still quiet where the residents live. The rooms are nice. The physical therapy there is the best I've ever seen - they're incredible. They're starting to open up more and more. I know in June they're going to start up trips again on a limited basis. My loved one is in independent living, but they have a really good assisited living section as well.
Very nice place
reviewed on: 08/17/2015 by AnonymousOur experience with Atria Southpoint Walk has been a good one, so far! Although the facility is a few years old at this point they do a very good job keeping it looking clean and new, and the people here have all been very friendly. So far we haven't seen a single thing to complain about, even the food is good!
Non-refundable fee of $5000...
reviewed on: 01/27/2014 by AnonymousNon-refundable fee of $5000 in addition to the rates pretty much puts it out-of-reach at this time.
The staff is very competent.
reviewed on: 04/21/2014 by AnonymousThe staff is very competent. They are very friendly. The food is very good. On the assisted living side there is a nice sun porch. They have games, crafts, and movies. There are devotions and exercise every day. On the independent living side they go places like museums.
I've never looked back....
reviewed on: 10/28/2020 by Betsy BAtria Southpoint Walk in Durham NC has been my home since May 2019. In June 2018, my dear husband Andy passed away very suddenly. In early Spring 2019, I was facing major surgery and a long recovery at home. A close friend was concerned about me and my beloved cat Jack living at home home alone, so she brought me to visit Atria. I loved it, and I was so happy to know I could continue to live near my church, my friends, my stores and restaurants, and all my familiar surroundings. I couldn't move to Atria right away, but the Community Sales Director Lisa stayed in touch with me, and after my surgery, I came to visit again. Lisa showed me the most perfect apartment - a 1st floor 2-BR, 2-bath apartment with a bright sunroom where Jack could take a nap and watch the birds. I especially loved having a full kitchen and being able to bring my own full-size washer/dryer right into my apartment. I leased the apartment immediately, and since Jack and I moved here, I have never looked back. The staff are so friendly and helpful and they have made my life so easy. The great OT/PT therapists have helped me regain my strength and mobility. I am safe and well cared for, and despite the isolation we have all experienced during COVID, I am so thankful to be here. Andy would be so pleased to know that I live in such a wonderful community.
