Great fit for our family
reviewed on: 02/16/2021 by anonymousThe environment is gorgeous around the facility. They have 3 restaurants here and she loves the food, they get a $300 included in their package when you move in to spend on food. They have a lot of activities going on as well, there is always something happening. They have a movie theater, so my mom goes everyday at 2 and watches a movie that they show. They also provide transportation to grocery stores and doctors appointments. They are on the unity campus and everything is super convenient to residents. It is a really nice facility and they provide a lot, I would highly recommend them.
My review of the Village at Unity
reviewed on: 10/06/2021 by anonymousThis is definitely worth looking into for your family member. We are trying to get adjusted but things have been going well. They have activities like bingo, and music activities to keep the residents engaged.
Compare Other Communities
reviewed on: 09/21/2020 by AnonymousThey don't offer activities, if the residents don't put the activities on, then it happens. Otherwise the community cancels a lot of activities. There is no activity director. I wouldn't recommend this community. I feel the high management is rude. I feel they false advertise. I didn't have a lock on my balcony door and there . The appliances should have been matching and they weren't. The residents are pretty friendly. The higher up office staff are rude. The higher up maintenance man was horrible, due to them entering my apartment at anytime. I signed a paper unless it is an emergency and then they could enter only. They had a staff member in the exercise class only, that I was aware of. They had a corner market in the community. Since they didn't have a staff member (who was a volunteer) and then the residents had to run it. So the store had to shut down eventually.
A Review of the First Month at The Village at Unity during a Pandemic
reviewed on: 08/13/2020 by AnonymousIt seems to be a large, vibrant community. The only improvement I could see now is that the residents haven't been able to socialize during the dinner-time, according to my father-in-law. They were giving meals in their rooms due to COVID, and do have the option to go to the dining room. The seating of individuals at tables during meals seemed to be a practice to the pandemic. In the prior communities they grouped residents together to join at dinner table. My father-in-law enjoyed this, as he is social and helped him meet new people.
