Great Place
reviewed on: 04/20/2017 by AnonymousHaving never visited an Assisted Living facility before, I had no idea what to expect. That said, 2 years later, I have been very impressed by the care, overall cleanliness, food, but most importantly the staff. They are engaged, encouraging, interacting and seem to be genuinely happy to be working there. They try to get the residents involved in their many activities which include exercise and art classes, music, movies, card and other games bingo, entertainment and special events and day trips. Also, their chocolate chip cookies are great. I highly recommend Brandywine.
Did not work for us
reviewed on: 08/28/2017 by AnonymousThe staff at this expensive community did not seem to be very attentive. My sister fell twice when she lived here for about a month. You have to be down at a certain time for meals. We did not have the best experience with this community.
Smiles Everywhere
reviewed on: 03/08/2018 by MarilynMy mom was a resident the last year of her life. The care was extraordinary. The staff has continual smiles on their faces and always willing to help. The medical care is attentive, prompt and any issues immediately communicated to me. When my mom was sick the staff always looked in on her and called me with any new recommendations. My mom made a few friends at the home and enjoyed their company. Her unit was always clean. I trusted all the staff in this facility and when I was away, I knew my mom was in good hands.
They Treat You Like Family
reviewed on: 12/05/2019 by Alex A.Several months back my dad found out that he had stage 5 dementia and needed 24/7 care. We had lots of choices and saw lots of facilities. Very confusing process…. My dad is a World War II Veteran, him and his six brothers served at the same time in WWII, they call my dad Aggie for short. My dad loves life and loves talking about his parents, his “6” brothers and “2” sisters and his immediate family, wife Teresa son and granddaughter- Isabella”. His granddaughter lights up his life whenever she’s near. Mom found the Brandywine by accident, she made the appointment and that’s when she met Rona Siaca director of community relations at the Savoy. She “Rona “had us at hello. A great facility, great people. They care for you like family and in some cases better than family. Her teams is outstanding. They go above and beyond their daily responsibilities. Yes I’m jaded since my dad gets exceptional care and Rona and her team treat mom and dad like family, a five star experience. The Savoy is friendly and inviting. Their people is their best quality. From what we’ve seen everyone is very caring, your treated like a human being. The food is excellent. The rooms are spacious and there is lots of things to do. THANK YOU RONA for taking care of my mom and dad’s daily needs. They mean everything to me and you have treated them like family and for that I thank you. God Bless you and your entire team!!!!!
Amazing
reviewed on: 12/12/2018 by Samantha IppolitoThis location is just incredible. Whether it is the regular facility or the Alzheimer's/dementia unit, the staff are caring and work so hard to get everyone involved. They have countless events for the residents such as art classes, card games, exercises and more. The staff decorates and do an incredible job to lift spirits for every resident. They work hard to work with the residents, rather than just get the job done and go home. They actually listen to their residents and care about what goes on. I was volunteering there for 4 months, still going and I can't believe what an experience it has given me. It is such a happy caring environment.
