A First Look Brought A Smile on Our Faces

However, since we took possession of our unit last month, we are very pleased with the staff, facilities, and everyone's effort to have our unit outfitted just the way we desire. The dining room staff are great, and the food is wonderful.
Like a Beautiful Cruise Every Day
reviewed on: 10/05/2021 by anonymousShe has a beautiful room with a patio. She gets to have her dog. There's a smoking area. She gets to have her tequila everyone once in a while The grounds are just beautiful. We watched the Bloom Fiesta from her back patio area the other day, and it was fabulous. One of the things I wish they had is a "mom chart" - so I could get a report on if they bathed her, cleaned her room, had pest control come in - just letting me know those little things, kind of like a doctor chart. But they're very protective of their residents. If there's any positive Covid tests, they lock it down. And everybody coming in to visit has to check in, whether they're on lockdown or not. The food is fabulous. It's fresh. For breakfast she gets things like sausages and eggs. Some days she's had shrimp for dinner. It's been really good. And she gets three meals a day. I would highly recommend it to anybody. It's been great for her to get out and meet all sorts of people. And Fairwinds has done a pretty good about trying to make sure everybody gets along.

It is really like a family there, with the entire staff giving positive comments, so helpful, and even the residents reflect cheerfulness and well-being. The chef is wonderful, spreading around good cheer and the most wonderful food, served at night with beautiful dinnerware and linen napkins. Even though there are over200 residents, they give the most individual attention to each person, meeting every morning to discuss the needs and wishes of their charges. When we first got there, they told my husband he would be shown where Poker would be played--I was surprised they knew him so well! And 15 RN's and techs came in at night to watch me with medical things so I would be able to rest and be confident about his care. There=s nothing better than Fairwinds!

reviewed on: 02/09/2015 by AnonymousI feel that the place is very great for seniors to stay. It doesn't smell like an old folks home, the food is wonderful and I am very satisfied with my residency there. I think it is also very well kept, and cleanly and the staff is very personable and friendly.
