Long, uncertain waiting list
reviewed on: 10/16/2013 by Daughter in lawIf you went out to go on a walk you had to walk through a very Nursing home kind of environment, the other issue was, because they have independent living, assisted living, memory care and more of a skilled nursing facility, they basically have a waiting list to get in. I think they had a month long waiting list and they couldn't even tell us when they could take my mother in law into the memory unit because they take inside referrals first.
It is a really good place, where people need help because the staff is very responsive
reviewed on: 09/14/2021 by anonymousThe cost is about the same compared to other communities in the area, but the most important part here is the staff, they are extremely friendly and supportive. They are quite responsive, and we have accidentally pulled the help button and they have showed up right so it is comforting to know if we ever have an emergency they will be here fairly quickly. The building itself is pretty and adequately meets our needs
My tour review
reviewed on: 11/12/2021 by Carey MThis community did not compare to the community that I was looking at. They offered less services and only one meal a day as opposed to three. I also was not as comfortable with the residents and I did not see a potential for relationships with the other residents.
A safe place for dad
reviewed on: 06/02/2020 by LMMy father, who was quite picky with his living situation, did well at Day Brook. The staff was very welcoming and they took really good care of him. They showed much love to him and showed a lot of kindness. The community is quite nice and his apartment was beautiful. It turned out to be a really good place for him and worked out really well. The community was always clean and the laundry was also done correctly. The activities were good and they had a pretty good schedule of on and off-community options, although my father didn't often participate. Overall a good value for the price, however they could have offered two meals a day rather than one. They were also very accommodating with his hospice team, which we really appreciated.
