Community Reviews

Compassionate care in a home-like setting.

reviewed on: 12/12/2018 by Angela S

I began looking for a memory care facility for my mother. After researching many facilities near my home, I narrowed my choice to 3 facilities. I decided Morning Pointe Lexington East based on the following: the ratio of aides to residents, the activities provided, and the actual nurse on site in place 24/7. Moving my mother at an early age is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. The activities are stimulating in the memory care. The aides are outstanding. The memory care director really cares about the people she is caring for and would inform me daily about how my mother was doing- the director was always willing to discuss issues with me, and there is a monthly support group meeting for families. She has also worked with me to make the transition as smooth as possible. My mother had Lewy Body disease with bad hallucations. The memory care have been so patient with her. The staff is very professional and have helped her immensely. I was very happy with the care my mother received and the support provided to me.

A Positive Step forward

Morning Pointe East is a very clean and well-laidout facility. My mother has mobility restrictions but can get around easily with either her walker or self-propelled wheelchair. She has directional issues and the halls are not well labelled, but we chose a room that was in view of the front lobby for that reason. The population is minimal so social interaction (May 2014) is not what she had at her previous senior residence. But, new residents continue to move in. So, in summary, we are pleased and feel good that we made the right choice for Mom.

Family at ease

Having to relocate to a different state with an elderly mother was a little trying. They already knew the specific state requirements and which place would be better able to fill my Mom's needs. I couldn't have been more pleased. While looking at the facility, I was contacted multiple times to get my input and thoughts.

A place called home

We were able to tour this nice community. We liked that the staff was able to answer all of the questions we had on care. The community was nice and maintained. We did like the variety of meals. We would suggest this community to other families for care and value of a loved one.
