Our residents attend plays and ballgames, including the South Bend Cubs, a triple A team affiliated with the Chicago Cubs. Theme dinners, custom balls, religious services and educational seminars are on the calender every month. Our life enriching opportunities encourage our residents to learn, socialize and the time of their life. Birthdays are so important and we celebrate birthdays here. Each resident gets their own party and cake. We sign happy birthday to each individual and we do not plan group celebrations where all are honored together at one monthly event. We believe in individual recognition. One of our most popular activities is the pen pal group our Life Enrichment Coordinator started for the entire Enlivant company of over 200 communities. Our residents in Indiana are now corresponding with Enlivant residents all over the country. We support our military families around the world! Our resident's service project this year is collecting and sorting coupons which are then sent to our military families around the world. Our military families are able to use expired coupons in numerous countries around the world where they are stationed. -

reviewed on: 11/02/2021 by anonymousWe chose Grand Emerald place because they were the most friendly and they had the most homey feel. The staff here are very caring towards the residents and always want to make sure everyone is happy and well taken care of. I would recommend to others looking.

My review of Grand Emerald Place (Enlivant)
reviewed on: 07/26/2021 by anonymousWe were able to do an in person tour twice, the first time there were not covid restrictions so we were able to see the residents out and about. The second time had restrictions and they were actually in a bit of a lock down so we did not get to see the resident. We did however get to see two different model rooms and walk through the different facilities they had. It is a very nice place, but it was just not the right place for our loved one. With her dementia to get to the dining room she would of had to gone from her room to the elevator, downstairs and to the dining room. We were worried she would get lost, and we did not know if someone would accompany her. Also right by the elevator was a stairwell, which also made us afraid if we didn't choose the elevator that she would get lost in the stairwell or even fall.
