Horrible Health Center
reviewed on: 01/03/2014 by DaughterWhen we first moved her in we liked it, but then her dementia kicked in. We didn't know what was happening because she's blind and we thought it was just her blindness. She was in the new building, Hickory Hall, and we liked the staff, and she even had a special friend. Then she went to the hospital, and they wouldn't let her go back to Hickory Hall. We didn't like the care that she was given after that, they weren't straight forward or up front. In the health center (which is also part of Hoosier Village) the care was horrible. They just put mats of the floor and shut her door with a sign on it not to enter. They treated her like a dog. They were charging us for both rooms, one in skilled care and one in memory care, and they didn't tell us that was going to happen.
