Community Reviews
Accommodating staff!!
reviewed on: 11/04/2016 by AnonymousThe community has been very welcoming to my mother-in-law. The staff at this community really goes an extra step to make her stay as comfortable as possible. They even called her doctor about a certain health concern instead of making me take care of it. The meals are great. When i have had meals there, the chef always says to tell him if there is anything she wants different he will make. Her room feels like an apartment. She has her own bathroom, small kitchen and even a small living room. She has a window in her room which provides extra lighting. They also have a mixture of activities and even a music program. Overall i am very happy with this community, the staff here is always very happy and tend to her every need.
Not much going on...
reviewed on: 02/10/2017 by AnonymousI toured the Bickford several times, and every time I went there did not seem to be too much activity going on. The residents did not really come out of their apartments. They did not seem to involved in activities and I did not like the location. There was too much commercial around like grocery stores and banks. In the rooms, there was only one window and we wanted many so there would be natural lighting like at her house. It was not what we were looking for.
Would Recomend
reviewed on: 03/19/2021 by MichaelWe're reasonably happy with them. The only thing is, they are sometimes very slow at answering the phone. Other than that communication issue, the staff seem to be reasonably concerned and helpful. Residents have the opportunity to be socially active in the community. It's up to the individual how much so. We found the cost to be competitive.
Pricing needs updated, good other than that.
reviewed on: 06/30/2015 by AnonymousThe facility is beautiful. There is no smell, it doesn't smell like a nursing home. The only thing is It isn't what they charge. A place for mom was off in the pricing. around $4,000 off . A place for mom needs updated information with better range of cost so people know there are other charges as well. Other than that, I think it's a great place. The people are very friendly.
the staff is just fantastic
reviewed on: 10/15/2015 by AnonymousThey are treating her really well at Bickford of Springfield. I am pleased with the care they are giving her. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The staff is just fantastic at this facility. For what she can do the activities are good. They do try to get her to come down and eat meals. She is doing okay here.
