Needs To Be Upgraded
reviewed on: 08/15/2013 by Gloria WilliamsIt was costly and demeaning. The place looked like it needed to be upgraded. It was delapidated, especially for that price.
We like it very much.
reviewed on: 03/10/2016 by AnonymousWe like it very much. The people have been very, very nice. The rooms are larger and easier to maneuver with a wheelchair. The physical therapist even built a platform. The food is very good. It's a thousand dollars less than where we were before. The other residents are pretty nice as well. They come to get her regularly, and tell her it's time for lunch. They are very accommodating. She has a nice outdoor area outside her room. They have bent over backwards to help us with medicaid. It's very open and modern looking. It's nice to see people gravitate outside their room, and they have lots of nice areas to sit and be outside with the residents. You do have to supply all the toilet paper and things. Parking is nice. They just put in white marble floors that are so pretty.
I would rate the staff a 4!!
reviewed on: 06/13/2016 by AnonymousMom has settled in very well at Asbury Gardens. We do differ on the rating of the food she would say it was a 1 and I would say it was a 3. She enjoys some of the activities offered. The staff are caring and friendly. I would recommend this community.
A Follow Up Call Would Have Been Nice
reviewed on: 01/05/2017 by AnonymousMy dad 's financial responsibility did not fit their system and they never called back after the tour. There was no personal touch or follow up. They didn't know what decision I made. But overall it just was not financially a good fit for him.
Best lighting I've come across
reviewed on: 01/20/2016 by AnonymousWhat a great energy throughout. The patients were actively associating with each other in hallways, meeting ares and especially in the dining room. i watched as they conversed not only across tables to one another but passersby joining in the fun as well. I visited during the upgrades and saw the high grade of materials being used as well as excellent workmanship. Can’t wait to see the place when the finishing touches are in place for the upgrades! The building also had the best lighting I’ve come across in over a dozen places for seniors in the area - both natural and artificial.
