Caring and Excellence

After my mom was diagnosed with vascular dementia we had to find a place quickly that would keep her safe, provide her with a dignified independent living situation and be affordable. JR, the admissions coordinator met with me after the diagnosis and was able to provide us with all of the above. Within 10 days, my mom had a place to live. My mom is happy, she is cared for, but most importantly, she is in a place that can help provide for her the care and support she needs at this time in her life.
Great Care and Activities

They have everything posted - they play card games, bingo, and memory games. They have exercise classes and they try to make it real fun. My brother is not able to join in so he watches. We're still hoping he will improve. I like a lot about Ashbury Gardens. I'm glad my brother is there. They're making sure he gets down to his meals and they're giving him his meds and making sure he takes a shower. They're watching over him real good. I'm really happy with the care. There are a couple of things that need fixing. His screen door and a piece of the cabinet are broken and we've asked them twice about that. They haven't gotten back to us yet but that's something minor.
An oasis of vitality
reviewed on: 12/13/2016 by Mike GAsbury Gardens is the ideal place for my mom. The atmosphere is bright and full of life. There are always people moving around doing things. The staff is friendly and attentive. People genuinely care for each other. After living 30+ years alone, my mom now has a more social life, which she needs. Nursing staff makes sure she gets her meds and she has a lot less to worry about.
A Follow Up Call Would Have Been Nice
reviewed on: 01/05/2017 by AnonymousMy dad 's financial responsibility did not fit their system and they never called back after the tour. There was no personal touch or follow up. They didn't know what decision I made. But overall it just was not financially a good fit for him.
An Okay Facility
reviewed on: 11/25/2015 by AnonymousThere is not a lot of communication that comes back when I ask questions. Sometimes I feel like I have to pester and hound to get a response. The activities are a little repetitive. There is just a lack of information and also conflicting information.
