My experience with Savannah Court
reviewed on: 10/06/2020 by AnonymousWe chose Savannah Court because at the time, she had a dog. She wanted a secure place that she could take her dog out and they had a courtyard here. There were many things that they mislead us on once we moved in. They said they provided medical transportation, they did not tell us it was only on Tuesdays and Thursday's between 10-2 and that they wont go more than 5 miles out. They said they would take care of her medicine for her, they ordered her prescriptions from the wrong facility and are costing us a fortune, they have also lost her medicine a couple of times and ordered medications that she no longer needed. They have mold in the facility and in her room that we have found. They also told us we would take care of claims, and I have to do it myself otherwise it does not get done. They are nice people and all but they have a general lack of detail and communication and we expected more for the amount of money we pay. My mom is happy here so we have made it work for the time being.

reviewed on: 09/23/2015 by AnonymousI am very grateful with the staff of this facility. My mother was recently at this Facility to do rehab on the Nursing Home side. I have to honestly say that I was very impressed and grateful with the staff helping my family and watching my mother in this difficult time. I was very concerned and scared when I found out that my mother was going to need rehab. I have often heard about the many horror stories about Healthcare facilities in general and of course, I wanted to do the best I can to in turn provide for the woman that raised me my whole life giving her the best and making sure she knew it. Well I think, thanks to Savannah Court of Maitland's staff I can rest easy in knowing that I did just that. Everyone at the facility from the nurses, CNAs to the activity staff, Therapy and even the Higher ups helped put me at ease, by taking such great care of my mother and attending to her needs making sure she felt safe, comfortable and apart of a family. All the staff for every single day I went whatever time of day I went had a smile on there face like they really enjoyed and loved there jobs. My mother truly had a wonderful time there she enjoyed the friendly and hardworking staff, the fun activities and the amount of respect she was treated with. In closing I have to say that the managers in charge are all doing a great job in the running of this facility. They were there for me every step of the way supporting me, encouraging me, keeping me informed and working with me to help my mother have the best experience possible and getting her better. I am very grateful for the people working in this facility and from the bottom of my heart I thank you.

reviewed on: 04/21/2017 by Tina DodgenIf you are looking for a Community to move your loved one into, STOP!!!! Don't go anywhere else!!! This is the place that you will be very happy with and your loved one will too. Isn't that what is important??!! My Momma is so very happy and content her. We looked at three places, including this one, and we turned right around and came back here to move Momma in. She has so many new friends now and every time we go to visit, she is never in her apartment. She is either in the game room or in another resident's apartment talking. I am so glad that she will never be alone anymore. The employees are gracious and are so very caring and attentive to all the residents. We visit Momma quite often and we see this with our own eyes. When I am not with Momma, I know that she is getting the love and attention that she would if she were with me. The carpet, rooms and yards are all very cleaned and well maintained. So, if you are worried, no need to worry anymore because you came to the right place - Savannah Court of Maitland!!!
Should've done it sooner!
reviewed on: 07/06/2016 by NatalieIn 2012, sadly, my husband passed. I then had to take care of the home by myself (boy, did I miss his cooking). However, when it came time to start replacing parts of the house (the AC, the roof, etc.), I decided my life had to change. In 2015 my cousin and I started our research on Assisted Living Facilities; we researched everything in the Orlando area, and realized we needed to narrow our results to 3. Meantime, I became ill and the move became more necessary so I relied on my cousin to visit the communities. When she visited Savannah Court of Maitland she was impressed by the facility and the friendliness of not only the staff, but the residents. Also one of my criteria was to find a place in which I could remain for the rest of my life. My peace of mind was satisfied by the fact that Savannah Cove Skilled Nursing and Rehab was in the same building. The decision was made! Even my first day at Savannah Court was a pleasure as I was called by first name immediately leading to my feeling of being a member of a new family. No more cooking, doing dishes, washing clothes, cleaning up; just living life and having fun - activities, entertainment, transportation, shopping, and refreshments galore. My new family and home are now the best decision of my life. I should have done it sooner!
