Our Tour Experience
reviewed on: 07/28/2021 by LJI really liked Elmcroft of Pinecrest. They were in my top two, and I had a hard time deciding. They have a nice walking area, and I really liked the nursing facility, the layout, and all the activities they had. But it felt like many of the other assisted living facilities in the area - they house several different care levels in a big, multi-floor facility with elevators. And I thought that might be more difficult for our loved one with dementia to navigate. We ended up choosing a smaller, homier community that was all on one floor and closer to where we live.
Was Able To Keep Mom and Dad Together
reviewed on: 08/29/2017 by AnonymousWhen we were searching for options we had to find a community that was able to accept both of my in laws. One was going to be for memory care and one would be for assisted living and this community was able to help us with that. They are both doing well on each side. The staff keeps all residents busy with activities. They have both started socializing and making friends. The staff is wonderful very friendly and they interact with the residents. The community is extremely clean and housekeeping does a wonderful job. In fact, my mother in law has allergies and since being here we have noticed a big difference in her health due to her apartment being cleaned once a week. They both seem to like the food that is served.
I am so blessed to have these friends!
reviewed on: 03/06/2014 by UrsulaMy husband and I moved into Pinecrest Place 3 years ago. We chose Pinecrest because of all the places we visited, we received the warmest welcome here. A plus factor was that everything you need is in one building and not spread out like some places are. We quickly made lots of new friends and got involved in various activities. After we were here for 18 months, my dear husband passed away. It was a rough time for me, but the friends we made here surrounded me with comfort and became a great support system. We all care about each other, and they have made my loss so much easier to handle. I am so blessed to have these friends, and moving here has been a blessing too.
Living a life of heaven on earth
reviewed on: 03/12/2014 by JohnAs the years roll by, it becomes very hard to make changes in your life. We grow older and watch the world pass us by. It was hard to uproot and move on. Due to my wife's failing eyesight, we were forced to find help. This is when we learned about Pinecrest Place, which has changed our outlook on life. Here, we found consolation in the care it has given to us. Mary tells me often that now she is living a life of heaven on earth. Being at Pinecrest has made her stay an enjoyable experience. I also agree!
Early Stages
reviewed on: 04/21/2020 by JohnMy mom is 76 and very independent, she feels that a lot of the other residents at Elmcroft of Pinecrest are older and need more help then she does at this time. It hard with the shut down due to the virus of a lot of the services to too much more about things.
