Victoria Villa, a caring place with a family feel .
reviewed on: 05/09/2014 by Bill MaguireMy wife has later stage early on-set Alzheimer's. (68 years old). Placed her at Victoria Villas in March. Could not be happier about my choice. Extremely experienced staff who cares deeply about their patients. Understands the disease. Believes that keeping the patients active and busy are important to keeping them happy and safe. Does not even turn the TV on till the evening. Morning and afternoons filled with activities. Great staff to patient ratio. Very clean and the pastoral setting makes it unique and contributes to the "family feel". Victoria Villas philosophy of keeping the patients active, happy and safe is what makes this place so special. Don't be fooled by places with brand new buildings and fancy decor because an experienced, caring and attentive staff with a great philosophy of delivering care is what really matters and Victoria Villa has that and much more.

Where love takes on flesh in home away from home.
reviewed on: 09/26/2016 by Sandra SirotaFrom my first meeting and tour of this residence, I took a deep breath and knew I had found the place I had been praying for. Lucy, the owner and Hugria, the social worker put love and care into a way of life for each and ever resident they care for. Every staff member from the receptionist to the housekeeper are trained in how to care for the memory impaired. Their philosophy of care encompasses knowing each resident; their likes, dislikes, level of impairment, stressors, medical needs, physical capabilities and idiosyncrasies and loving them into the best they can be at the stage they are. The residence is located on a serene 10 acre piece of paradise where lakes and manicured greens host a variety of birds, ducks, cats, chickens, a rooster, and an occasional eguana. Animals are a vital part of daily therapy along with the best kept secret in Davie; Anne their energetic activities director who conducts morning exercises, daily fun brain activities, music therapy and all kinds of stimulating games that use muscle and eye coordination. No stone is unturned when it comes to the care and concern needed to care for our loved ones. We now experience a level of peace we could never have imagined possible until the loving and compassionate care from the family we found at Victoria Villa.
A great community
reviewed on: 01/04/2017 by AnonymousMom is receiving one on one attention at Victoria Villa. The staff are very attentive and they are always there to keep her from falling. She likes the food and they keep the community clean. This is a smaller community and the staff are very encouraging. They do not let the residents sit in their room all day they help get them out and socializing. I would recommend this community.
