Spring Oaks gets our recommendation!!
reviewed on: 07/27/2016 by AnonymousMy husband's therapist and primary care doctor both gave Spring Oaks a good review. The staff are very good and we have great communication. They encourage him to participate in activities. The food tastes good and they offer a variety of choices including fresh fruits and vegetables.
So Far Everything Is Well
reviewed on: 09/30/2016 by AnonymousMy sister in law is doing okay here at this community. It has been pretty good experience for us here. We know she is safe and being care for well. They are treating her very well, they have a good staff here. The community looks great, they do a good job keeping everything nice and clean. It is a bit expensive, but so far everything has worked out well for us here.
THE PEOPLE AT SPRING OAKS CARE!
reviewed on: 10/07/2018 by Kelly DunnMy Mother arrived at Spring Oaks 6 short months ago. Before arriving, she lived a private home assisted living. My mother couldn’t stand and needed lots of help with everyday tasks. She had been diagnoses with the onset of dementia and was told she would probably not get better. The staff at Spring Oaks are wonderful! And the change in my Mom in 6 short months is a miracle! She can walk, she can now dress and feed herself. I wish I could show you a before and after picture, so you can see the return of my Mom. She loves it at Spring Oaks. She has lots friends and keeps busy doing activities. Her mental condition has remarkably improved. I credit a lot of this miracle to the staff and people at Spring Oaks. The people that work there care. They are friendly and have treated my mom with love and respect. They pushed my Mom to engage in the actives. They cared for her like she was family. My mom calls Spring Oaks "HOME". When I took my mom there I trusted the staff there to take care of Mom, but they did way more than that they treated like family. Priceless!
Under new management
reviewed on: 07/24/2020 by BertI used a Place for Mom to find a place for my mom. She's now been at this facility for a year and 4 months. With the recent pandemic we haven't been able to talk to her very often. The nurse explained they'd been confined to their rooms and weren't allowed out, even meals are brought to them. My mom's room is very small with no real seating area. I live out of town and only get to go see her twice a year. Although the facility is older and could use some TLC it had always been clean but the last time I was there her room wasn't as clean as it had been previously. Not being able to see her or communicate with her regularly, we've been worried and concerned about the care she's been getting. Prior to the pandemic, my dad was there every morning, got her up, made sure she was dressed, had something to eat and was ready for the day. And then suddenly, we weren't sure what was happening. Recently we found out they're under new management, what a huge difference! One of the health care providers in the facility, I know her only as Karen, has been wonderful! She called me, introduced herself, gave me her cell number, let me Facetime with my mom, arranged for my dad to go see her (a visit through the window) and stays in touch with me and my family and lets us know what's going on and how my mom is doing. And, my mom was recently moved to a bigger room. Needless to say, we're so relieved and sleeping a little better at night! I feel much more confident my mom is not only being taken care of, she's being cared for in a loving way.
need more staff
reviewed on: 12/28/2015 by AnonymousThey need more staff. My husband fell about 3 or 4 times there. He was by himself at the end of the hall. They were not very watchful.
