From Independent Living to Memory Care
reviewed on: 11/04/2015 by Joanne & HunterMy mother lived in MacKenzie Place in an Independent Living apartment for approximately 6 years until a fall required a move to Memory Care for the last 6-8 weeks of her life. She loved her apartment where she had a lovely view of the Rocky Mountains but although her room in Memory Care was smaller it was very nice and she was comfortable there. Everyone on staff was wonderful to her and to her family. From mangers, Alan and Sam to the staff on Memory Care (Coley, Marie, Brenda, Carly in the kitchen, Elizabeth, Hannah- our initial contact who took my mom under her wing and a true ambassador of caring) all were professional, generous, kind and helpful. We will never forget the support given as my mom declined in health. We can highly recommend MacKenzie Place to anyone looking for a residence for their loved one(s).

reviewed on: 12/25/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerI really enjoyed the outreach coordinator who gave me the tour and answered all my questions. I nicknamed MacKenzie Place "the cruise ship" when describing it to my family; it had all the bells and whistles (comes with a price, but insurance was paying). The rooms are huge. Studio was large too. I dropped in for a visit to see the Yahtzee game hour and found NO ONE in attendance. This swayed me away. I believe MacKenzie Place is better for senior independent living than assisted living.
They are doing a pretty good job so far.

The quality of the food is excellent. They have plenty of entertainment and activities offered. We liked the overall quality.
McKenzie Place - Memory Care
reviewed on: 09/11/2015 by E. SteeleMy father lived at McKenzie Place in Memory Care for almost a year. Moving my father into Memory care was an incredibly difficult thing to do. I had fears of him being lost scared, alone and ignored. I can't think of a better place for him. Not only did it become a home for him but we were welcomed and included in any activities we wanted to take part in. It was a wonderful environment. It was a warm, loving and engaging place. There was laughter and fun. I will be forever thankful to everyone in the memory care unit for taking care such great care of my father and for enabling him to live out his remaining days with dignity.
