Great Food!
reviewed on: 04/01/2014 by Loved OneFor the price they charge, the rooms seem too small. There's room for some furniture, but the rooms are too small for two people - especially the bathrooms. The food is very good though, and we would give it a 5! We really liked this place because it's small and we were very impressed with Sharon Crowe. She's a very nice and caring lady, and we are still impressed with her to this day!
Safe and Healthy Environment
reviewed on: 10/27/2020 by AnonymousRight now their main thing is to keep everyone safe. The community hasn't had any cases of COVID. They top priority is being safe. Whittier Glen did a great job before COVID, now they are limited on the food they can deliver to residents with quality on top of their mind. The residents are eating in their room. The community is keeping the decorations going to keep the spirits of residents up.

reviewed on: 04/20/2021 by Trisha McArthurMy mom was at Whittier Glen for 4 years excellent care givers and staff. Aide Alba , Rose (her best bud) , Stephanie & Hannah were the best. Food was delicious and nutritious . She really enjoyed her church service's , bingo and music time . I would recommend them for your loved one .
Excellent Care/ the right culture

The care has been excellent for as long as we have had residents in this building. The management team goes above and beyond to support their team. I have witnessed great communication and teaching from their management team. Martha and Aide's level of passion is extraordinary. Aide is genuine with her residents .This is real. I am amazed on how much they have all grown. Kudos to you Aide and your team.

reviewed on: 09/09/2015 by AnonymousI haven't heard any major complaints about Brookdale Casa Whittier. When she first moved in there was an issue with stealing. Everyone has keys to the rooms, maintenance, housekeeping, etc. She had $200 in her purse and then went it get it and it was gone. I also know of a neighbor that was saving up for something and her money was stolen also. She doesn't have Alzheimer's either, so that is pretty concerning. They have a lot of activities at this facility available if she chooses to participate. Overall it's been a good experience.
