reviewed on: 11/14/2018 by AnonymousCarefully made choice to move here three years ago. Close to my former church, friends, and neighbors. The right move because our apartments are comfortable, the meals are good, close to medical needs, and most important, the people living with us have become good friends. I teach a bible study on Sunday afternoons which keeps me focused on people and my mind a little on life's important issues. My wife likes it here and so do I.
Review of Chaparral Winds
reviewed on: 11/21/2019 by Kim McKibbaMy mother and father moved into C.W.I.L. [date removed]. Dad passed [date removed]. We just moved Mom to C.W. Assisted Living in [date removed]. The friends that my parents made with the residents and support staff is what they have enjoyed most. There are numerous improvements that the residents have requested to be addressed through committees that never seem to get satisfactorly resolved. But most residents realize that budgets are tight and management's resources are limited. Unfortunately in most senior facilities profits come before people and services.
Review of Chaparral Winds
reviewed on: 11/14/2018 by AnonymousThe apartments and casitas of Chaparral Winds provide a very warm and comfortable place to live. They feel like real houses and residents are allowed to paint, change flooring, and make other small changes in their own taste. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Due to understaffing and a few minor problems in the dining room, I can't quite give 5 stars, but they are close.
A Good Choice
reviewed on: 01/16/2019 by Pat FoxI decided on Chapparal Winds for my stepmother after visiting other facilities. Based on the level of care she needs. The staff are all very friendly, cooperative on what she was used to before, and caring right from the front desk to the experienced caregivers who help with her daily needs. It took a little adjusting for her but being able to bring in her own furniture and decorate her apartment was huge. She is happy there and close enough that we can visit as often as possible.
Stuff Was Disappearing
reviewed on: 11/20/2013 by DaughterMy mom used to live there but we had issues there. They took care of her there but there was stuff that kept disappearing. And I don't think it was just disappearing. Stuff was beings stolen so I had to make that unfortunate decision to move her out.
