My Review of Storypoint Middleton

I love living here because you're treated like family. Everyone is happy and we get severed the best food. We celebrate all occasions and I couldn't be happier. I love my friends and my life here.

Very good experience with Senior Helpers

We went with Senior Helpers because we were looking for skilled nursing care for my mother, A lot of care companies do not offer anything with skilled nursing care or administer medications, but they do. A doctor is in charge of the whole company and they have RNs on staff who teach the caregivers which made me feel comfortable with them. They offer the care that we need I would recommend them.

Save yourself the time and trouble, just come to The Blake first. You'll be glad you did.

They have an excellent staff all around - the executive director, the sales director, the bookkeeper/accounts receivable person, the marketing director, and the assistant wellness director are all awesome. They have a good food/beverage director and chef. I've had his food, and it's really good. When you walk into this place, you don't get the impression that it's an assisted living facility at all. It's very clean. My loved one's apartment is twice the size of where he was before, for the same price. He went from like a dorm room there, to a suite at The Blake, with a living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and much bigger bathroom. It's like twice the square footage. So the value is great - he's getting a lot more for his money where he's at now. They have a coffee shop, a wine bar with a big grand piano, a physical therapy gym. All I can say, is you have to go check it out for yourself. It's really something to see. Especially because my loved one doesn't get around much, they always come by and offer to get him out and take him around to do stuff. They're very, very nice there. The physical therapy lady is very cool, and so is the activities director. You're not going to have many complaints here. They're just really good people. The executive director is really on top of her game. So is the sales director. Man, I just really like them all a lot. There's a solon on site, and the lady who cuts his hair - I love her to death. The facilities are just really top notch. It's brand new, so you won't find much wrong. Its very clean. The dining room is night and day form where we came from. The Blake breaks the rating scale - you get the impression you're in a nice, fancy restaurant. If you're talking mind over matter, everyone who works here minds, because the residents really do matter to them. You'll definitely have to go experience it for yourself. The last place was dingy and depressing, and The Blake is bright and white, with a big table with flowers in the entryway. And they're super nice when you walk in to have your temperature taken. There's a big coffee shop and lounge area. You don't get the impression at all that you're entering an assisited living facility. It looks kind if like a resort. But not at resort prices. It's a no brainer - come check it out. Save yourself the trouble, just come to the Blake first.

Reliable, but service is not up to par.

I wouldn't use her. I dealt with the owner, and for the owner of the company, I think she could have been much better than that. Her services were poor, I think because she was working too much, pushing herself too far until she became ineffective. Especially from the owner, you expect a certain quality, and it just wasn't there. She ended up being our caregiver because she couldn't find people for our schedule. She was friendly and on time, I'll give her that. She's a very nice person. But as far as her services, I expected more. Her cost is low though. She was one of the lowest in the area. If you just need someone there and don't care about the quality, she'll be there and be there on time.

Our experience has been nothing but positive.

My parents moved into The View 3 years ago. The minute we walked into the facility we all knew this would be their new home. The facility was immaculate clean and felt cozy. Mom & Dad immediately felt comfortable. Leaving their home was very difficult but moving into The View made the transition much easier. The staff has always been loving and provides very excellent care. There has not been a day they have been unhappy with the facility or services. My family has never worried about our parents. My father passed away at The View 2 years ago. The staff was incredibly caring and professional during this process. They have made mom feel loved after his passing. My family is eternally grateful! Our family feels like we have an extended family caring for our mother. We can't thank the staff enough for their concern and love they have shown to our family.
