Happy Camper
reviewed on: 07/24/2017 by AnonymousI thought the place was very nice. I had reservations about getting my sister set up in a senior's facility. Lake Bona Vista answered all of those needs. She is one happy camper in Lake Bona Vita. After one week of going to the dining room, for every meal, she is still raving about the selection she has. I trust she will continue to be happy in her new home.
A Superb Retirement Home
reviewed on: 01/08/2018 by SheilaThere are not enough good things to say about Lake Bonavista Village. The staff are fabulous, especially Elizabeth Webster and Daphne who made the transition for my mom entirely stress free. Mom has lived here for just under a week and has loved every minute. The food is superb and she is really enjoying the facilities and amenities. I highly recommend this facility if you are considering moving a loved one.
Senior Independent living
reviewed on: 11/11/2018 by Joan MackayThis is an older complex, well maintain and clean. Has an air of old world elegance. A heated salt water pool that I love. Staff are wonderfully accommodating and residents have the option to be as involved in activities as they wish. Meals are served in an attractive dinning room with open seating, several choices and I can always find something that appeals to me. I have a studio and it suits me fine. This is my third downsize, could never have considered this coming from a five bedroom home. If I was still driving I would not even have looked at it - no underground parking and you are responsible for snow shovelling etc. There is a bus to take you shopping and to medical appointments. Calgary transit is at the edge of the property, something I am learning to take advantage of. This is a huge shift from private to community living, so expect bumps in the road, give yourself space. For me this works.
Great Place
reviewed on: 09/04/2016 by AnonymousThis is a wonderful environment, according to my Dad who is living at Lake Bonavista. He came from the US and to compare the previous place he lived in to Lake Bonavista wouldn't be fair to Lake Bonavista. They are night and day even though they do the same thing. Big difference here is the staff actually care. I have seen first hand how awesome these people are. My Dad doesn't hold anything back, so I know he is completely honest in saying how happy he is here.
